Olympus strives to provide an enjoyable and safe environment for players to hang out and play. The list below includes the prohibited infractions on the server.
Punishments are dealt with based by the default infraction consequences, but is also dependent on the severity of the infraction. These can range from a warning, kick, mute, or even a ban from the server.
Any attempt at getting around rules with loopholes will result in severe consequences judged by staff.
Network Wide Rules
1. Any use of unauthorized modifications on the server will result in a permanent ban across all servers. Examples of this would inclue: hacked clients (kill aura, anti-knockback, flight, aimbot, etc.), macros or autoclickers, and any kind of modification that alows you to cheat the normal standards of the game. Exceptions to this include normal modifications that are permitted: Optifine, and HUD modification. Any form of damge indicators, xray, and mini-maps are prohibited from use on the server.
2. Exploiting or releasing any information of a glitch in the system or a bug in plugin will result in consequences of the one who released the prohibited information and anyone abusing what was strictly not supposed to be released to them. The consequences for this are judged by the severity of the situation.
3. Advertisement of any kind of social media or browsing content (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Skype, Youtube, etc.) will result in a kick on the first offense. The only exception to this is anyone with a [Famous] rank and is streaming via Twitch can advertise the stream once every 20 minutes as long as they are planning the next twenty minutes on the server.
4. Any kind of advertisement of another Minecraft or Teamspeak server, regardless of an ip or not, will result in a one week mute on the first offense.
5. Threats regarding DDoS, Dox, or any kind of harassment regarding shutting another players internet off will result in a two week mute across all servers on the first offense.
6. Spamming the chat with three forms of similar or the same message is not necessary. Everyone saw your messagw the first time and no one needs to see it again. An excessive amount of spamming can result in a kick.
7. Derogatory comments or rude terminology such as "ez", "rekt" or anything classified by staff as unnecessary and disrespectful will result in a kick.
8. Excessive insulting comments, crude or foul language, or any classification by staff of disrespect directed at another player will result in a punishment based on the severity of the situation.
9. Consistent chat flame or dispute is not tolerated. If it becomes out of control a staff member will mute the chat for a period of time based on the severity. The players involved in the start of the dispute would be punished based on the views of the staff members.
10. Hold respect for the staff members. Any complaints about them should immediately be directed onto the forums rather that creating dispute in chat.
11. Do not chargeback for a refund. If you chargeback before speaking with a staff member, your access to the network will be blocked. If you need a refund, contact a staff member and we would find a way for you to receive your money back. If you are permanently banned you will not be condoned and allowed a refund.
12. Falsifying evidence or supplying forged evidence to better your standing or out of spite of another player will result in a two week ban across all servers on the first offense.
13. Abusing or spamming the report system will result in a twenty-four hour ban from using the system.
14. Assumptions of an unauthorized modification is to be directed to the reporting system or forums not in chat. If you are consistently making assumptions in chat after being warned not to you will be kicked from the server.
15. Overriding the filter and posting any form of a web address or link in chat regardless of it's content, excluding the forums and twitter page of the server, will result in a permanent mute across all servers.
16. Any names that pertain to racist, sexist, inappropriate, or a classified extreme by staff will result in a permanent ban and is only appealable with a change of name.
17. Advertising sales or exchanges regarding sales will result in a permanent mute regardless if it even benefits the server. Example if it might benefit, but prohibited: "Message me your ign for an enter in a Premium rank here on Olympus!"
18. Any kind of death threats or death/suicide comments or remarks will result in a one week mute. We believe this is a sensitive subject and it will not be tolerated om our server. Encouraging suicide is a legal offense and can result in 10+ years in prison and even a $25,000 fine. Basically, don't do it
19. Any kind of complaints or whines about a punishment through the chat will result in a kick. Whether the consequences you had was valid or not, we do not want it nagging the staff and creating dispute. The appeal section on the forums is there for a reason and that is the only place to send your complaints of the belief of an invalid punishment.
20. Any form of discrimination of sexes, religions,ethnicities, races, etc. is not tolerated on the server. Making derogatory comments like "you faggot" or any homophobic, transphobic, etc. will result in a permanent mute from the server. This is not a joking matter and will not be tolerated. Making slurs such as "nigga" or any form of a racist ot sexist comment will result in a kick on the first offense.
